Apricot whip

Recipe ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups dried apricots
  • 1 1/2 cups yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans

How to make apricot whip

  • Cover apricots with hot water and soak for 30 minutes. Drain well.
  • In a food processor or blender, combine the apricots, yogurt, and honey. Process until smooth. Chill.
  • Note: To serve, sprinkle nuts on each portion.

Basic Rhubarb Bread


  • 1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 21/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cup finely chopped rhubarb
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Rhubarb Bread


  1. Beat brown sugar, oil, buttermilk, egg, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. Mix flour, salt, and baking soda.
  2. Add to brown sugar mixture and stir until blended. Stir in rhubarb and nuts.
  3. Turn into 2 greased 8 X 4 X 2-inch loaf pans. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of sugar over each.
  4. Bake at 325F for 1 hour or until done. Makes 2 loaves.

Easy Apricot tart recipe

  Today at The Box Office Cafe and Bistro, I am sharing with you easy to make apricot tart recipe.
Apricot Tart

Recipe ingredients

  • 2 cups yogurt
  • Shortcrust pastry to line a pan
  • 1 1/2 cups canned apricots
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons corn flour
  • 1/4 cup castor sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 egg, separated

How to make apricot tart

  • Drain the yogurt for 3 hours.
  • Bake the pastry case for 10 minutes.
  • Drain the fruit. Save the juice for use in a fruit salad.
  • Lay the apricot halves on the pastry.
  • When the yogurt has drained, mix it together with the whipped cream and remaining ingredients except for the egg white, beating everything to a smooth mixture.
  • Whisk the egg white until it is stiff and fold it into the other mixture.
  • Spoon it over the apricots and bake at 325 degrees F for 50 minutes.

How to Replace your Faulty Kitchen Faucet

A lot of times due to some faulty kitchen faucet parts, your kitchen faucet stops working properly and you have to either replace your faulty parts or replace the whole kitchen faucet.

All you need are some tools and you are good to go. Follow these steps to replace your faulty kitchen faucet yourself:

1. You first need to turn off the water valves. So, check beneath your sink and you will find two water valves, one for hot water and one for cold water. Shut off both of these water valves.

2. Then, switch on your faucet to relieve some water pressure

3. Now, take a pair of the adjustable wrench and use it to disconnect the water supply lines. You will also need to use a pair of channel locking pliers and make sure that you disconnect both the supply lines. If you find that the supply lines are old or damaged, then consider replacing them too.

4. Now, you need to disassemble the faucet. You will need to use a basin wrench to loosen the nuts and bolts which keep the faucet’s tailpiece in place. If your sink has a line that connects the hose to the faucet, then disconnect this water line too.

5. Once all the nuts are loose, you can pull out the old damaged kitchen faucet. Clean the sink so that there is no dirt or grime covering it and it is good to install the new kitchen faucet.

6. Now, you need to measure the sinkholes distance and determine other configurations to ensure that you have a compatible kitchen faucet. Don’t forget to read the instructions that come with your faucet for a smoother experience.

7. Now, place your faucet in the sink and use a deck if needed. Use plumber’s putty or gasket to keep the faucet in place. If you are using a gasket, you would need to thread the hoses through the gasket and the lip of the plate.

8. Now, you need to thread the nut and the flange with the help of a basin wrench beneath the sink. If you are installing a pull-out kitchen faucet then you would need to add a little weight to retract the pull-out spray.

9. Finally, you need to attach the supply lines and the shut-off valves to the faucet and make sure that you connect the hot water to the left and the cold water to the right.

10. Now, turn on the faucet and check for any leaks. If there are leaks, tighten the connections and recheck the faucet.

You have now successfully replaced your fault Kitchen Faucet without any help from a plumber. Doesn’t that feel good now?

  • 1 Can of Libby’s Pumpkin Pie Mix
  • 1 Pouch Martha White Honey Bran Muffins
  • 1 Large Egg
  • ½ Cup Granulated Sugar (plus extra for the tops)
  • 1 Cup Unbleached All Purpose Flour
  • ½ Tsp. McCormick Pumpkin Pie Spice


  1. Get your ingredients.
  2. Pour into a big mixing bowl.
  3. Mix ‘em up!
  4. Put into lined muffin tins (cupcake liners or parchment paper squares.)
  5. Sugar the tops then bake! Bake in a lined muffin pan for about 20-22 minutes. They are done when the tops have a pretty crust and a knife comes out clean if you stick it in the center.
  6. I eat them hot with a big pat of butter.

Ingredients for 10 servings

  • Chocolate wafers, 30
  • 3 Oz molten chocolate, bittersweet
  • One tablespoon of canola oil
  • For fillings you can use three-fourth cup of sugar; one-fourth cup of cornstarch; one-fourth cup of cocoa, unsweetened; one-fourth teaspoonful of salt; one and three fourth cup of 1% low-fat milk; egg yolks of two eggs; chopped bittersweet chocolate; white rum, one teaspoon; half a cup raspberry, fresh; 10 tablespoon fat free and frozen topping, whipped and thawed.

For the crust, place the wafers in the food processor and process until finely ground. Add to it the molten chocolate and canola oil and blend the mixture. Place in pie plate and let it freeze until set.

To make the filling combine the cornstarch, sugar, cocoa, and salt in a pan and stir the combination. Add half of the milk and the egg yolks and stir the combination until the mixture is smooth. Then add the remaining milk with stirring. Place the pan over medium heat and stir the mixture until it is bubbling and has become thick. Now remove it from heat and add the chocolate pieces with stirring. Then add the rum with stirring.

Pour the filling into the crust, cover with a plastic wrapper, and let it chill until set.  Serve with whipped toppings and raspberry.
